About Ecla

Hello. I am Ecla, otherwise known as Cristyn among other things. I’m a writer who is steadily working on getting her writing out there into the world. My fiction is usually within the fantasy genre, however it sometimes borders on other genres such as science fiction and slipstream.

I also have a lot of interests outside of writing such as reading, crafting, anime, comics and manga, and nature.

As of this moment, on March 10, 2024, I have not yet been published with my current attempts at writing. I did get a couple of stories published years ago, but I’m a different person now and I don’t typically count them as my published work because of the nature of those publications. As soon as I’m allowed to tell other people about my work getting published I will make an announcement post so just wait and see.

About Draconic Ramblings

Draconic Ramblings is my current blog where I write about my writing journey and other topics. This is my second blog. My last one grew stagnant and I hadn’t posted for a while, plus I wasn’t the biggest fan of it anymore when I started getting back into blogging. I figured that the best way to get back into blogging was to start from scratch and so that’s what I did. It has been a rocky road and there have been times when I just stopped posting for a month or more, but I think I’ve gotten the hang of it again.

The name comes from a combination of my love for dragons and “Ramblings” which is in line with the title of my last blog.

I will be posting a list-based post each Tuesday, a rambling each Wednesday, and a microfiction prompt on Friday. A rambling is a post that is structured like an essay and can be long. My usual ramblings include crafting posts, writing updates, and just general discussions on what I’ve been up to.
